01.What is Face lift?
The term “facelift” describes a surgical procedure to lift and reposition aging, sagging skin on the face. The medical term for a facelift is called a Rhytidectomy, which translates to wrinkle (rhytid), removal (-ectomy). Despite the official terminology, a facelift is not designed to merely remove wrinkles. In order to achieve this patients need skin resurfacing or additional nonsurgical treatment after surgery. A facelift’s objective is to regenerate the midface, jawline and neck areas to give the patient a younger & fresher look.
02.Who needs Face lift?
1. People who have lost massive skin elasticity and are in their forties or fifties with sagging skin
2. People in their sixties or seventies who are experiencing advanced aging
3. People who have sever nasolabial folds, double chin, deep neck wrinkles, sagging fat sacks on the cheeks, sagging chin or overall severe facial wrinkles

03.Method
The deep plane facelift is a surgical procedure which is done under general anesthesia to provide the most rejuvenation of the skin & muscle layers as well as the most comfort for the patient. During the surgery, the SMAS layer of muscle under the skin is first elevated anteriorly towards the corner of the mouth, allowing the reduction of jowling along the jawline. Once the SMAS and platysma are elevated, they are then secured using an absorbable suture in both the cheek and behind the ear against the mastoid bone. Dr. Kim precisely trims the excess skin to fit, then meticulously places sutures to create a near-invisible scar.
Over-exaggerated results are never desired and Dr Kim helps patients achieve the most desired rejuvenation with the most natural & aesthetically pleasing result.
